Mail SMS

This feature allows you to receive, send or forward e-mails via SMS, get your own personal or official e-mail, to be forwarded to your mobile. You will also be able to receive your attachments and forward them as well. This service is also installed under the STK menu under messaging option and offers you easy guidance to use the service.

To get connected simply fill out an application form customer care and start sending & receiving messages by simply sending a SMS to 910 with the following syntax - alert<Space>start.

A detail list of commands will be issued to customers on activation of the service by customer care. Also the customer will automatically get a new e-mail address as xxxxxxx@sms.Etisalat.lk.

Example:
If you're mobile number is 072-4414141
Your Etisalat mail address will be: 4414141@sms.Etisalat.lk

Charging

Each Etisalat mail send out will be charged Rs.2.00 per message.
Each Etisalat mail received will be charged Rs.1.00 per message.
Above charges excludes Government Taxes.
